E. 48th Street Market, Atlanta’s traditional Italian corner store, will be luring food lovers later this month with three low-priced home-cooked dishes as part of Dunwoody Restaurant Week.

Restaurant Week is run by the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Dunwoody and focuses on showcasing a variety of local eateries and recipes. Aimed at making great food accessible to all food lovers, Restaurant Week runs June 22-29 this year.

E. 48th Street Market joins the celebration with prix-fixe lunches designed to wow restaurant-goers. For $10 guests have a choice of one home style lasagna or a succulent Tuscan pulled pork hero sandwich. The lasagna dishes include a choice of either: a Sicilian, a vegetarian or a primavera. All three specialty dishes include a side salad and mini cannoli for desert, completing a perfect Italian lunch.

“If there’s one thing all Italians can agree on it’s the importance of good food,” said Charlie Augello, who owns E. 48th Street Market along with his wife Anita. “We don’t let anyone leave hungry.”

The Augellos’ market has been a Dunwoody landmark for over 25 years, featuring a wide variety of deli items and Italian imports as well as the sit-down and /or take away restaurant featuring foods created from family recipes. The Market is also a popular stop for wine lovers, offering over 140 varieties of Italian wine.

“Restaurant Week is a chance for people to try new restaurants, and also a chance for us to make new friends,” said Anita Augello. “Enjoy this special lunch and don’t be surprised if you come back again and again!”
