“I want our Children to know who their ancestors are. The best way I know how to do this is through the food in this cookbook. Charlie and I try to keep up traditions the same way our Parents and ancestors did with food and love and stories.

Try as we might, it does get diluted. This causes me to worry. In today’s world, names for holidays are changed, rituals are overlooked or considered burdensome.

The name “Basta Pasta” comes from a funny incident that happened in 2004 when we took our entire family (fifteen from ages three and up) to Italy…”
