The weather conditions in most of Europe were such ( winter was not as cold and the summer not as hot) which enable the fruit fly to incubate and reproduce.

However, we here at the Market have been very fortunate with the olive harvest this year. We have in stock very good extra virgin olive oil from Le Vigne. The main reasons are that we started picking olives much earlier than normal and Joan & Roger have a olive press on site. This enabled us to pick, sort and press olives while many others in the area did not react fast enough to pick good olives. Therefore the public Fontoia (olive oil presses) did not open this year.

We are also happy to tell you that even with the lower than expected yields our price will remain the same as last year. But our supply is limited so come in and get some while we still have it. We don’t want you to be disappointed.
