SOMETHING EASY AND SWEET TO ENJOY

6 Golden Delicious apples – peeled, cored, sliced
2 cups raisins
½ cup pecans or walnuts
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup apple juice
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
Whipped topping, or ice cream – optional

In a large skillet, stir together all ingredients except ice cream or whipped topping. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes or until apples are just tender but not mushy. Serve plain or with a topping of your choice.
